Alumni Spotlight: Rosi Calderón

Verve Gallery of Photography has selected Rosi Calderón to exhibit in their Online Emerging Artist Exhibition. This category of submissions allows an emerging artist the opportunity to have their work shown to a larger audience via the internet. View Rosi's online exhibition >>

Rosi, who has been an artist and creator since childhood, is an alumni of the following workshops:

Multimedia Storytelling with Ami Vitale (Santa Fe)
Dancing with the Ambient: Using Small Flashes with David Hobby (San Miguel)
The People and Culture of Colonial Mexico with Ralph Lee Hopkins (San Miguel)

Rosi exhibits her work every year, and has received accolades in publications like Black & White magazine (2009 and 2011) and the special 20th anniversary edition of the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops Calendar in 2009.

Her camera is her partner in the continuous discovery of the unexpected: movement in time, reflection in history, shadows in parallel universes, wind blows in landscapes, wisdom in wrinkles and intensity in sight. Says Rosi, “Each shot gives meaning to my memories; gives faith to the grandiosity of the world and the passage of time; gives admiration to the miracle of living”

Congratulations, Rosi!
